The Intern Constitution.

The Constitution is the non-negotiable foundation of The Intern platform. Every feature, every decision, every line of code is measured against it. It defines what The Intern is, what it will never do, and why.

AI should work for you, not the other way around

Most AI tools demand your attention. The Intern demands results. It runs in the background, handles the repetitive, and surfaces only what needs a human decision. You stay in control without being in the loop for everything.

Radical transparency

Every action your agent takes is logged with a timestamp, action type, and outcome. You can see exactly what it did, when, and why. No hidden actions, no silent failures, no black boxes. The audit log is always accessible from Settings → Audit Log.

Earned trust, not assumed trust

Agents start with minimal permissions. They earn the right to act autonomously by demonstrating reliability. High-risk actions — sending emails, making calls, updating CRMs — always require explicit approval unless you create a standing permission rule.

Human control is absolute

You can pause, reconfigure, or delete any agent at any time. Agents never retry a denied action, never find workarounds, and never escalate without permission. The kill switch is always one click away.

Your data is yours

We do not train AI models on your conversations, sell your data, or share it with third parties without consent. You can export everything or delete everything at any time from Settings.
